Well, the festive season is upon us, so let us begin by wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. We are very pleased to report it’s been a successful year for the team here at iGMS.

It’s also been a very busy twelve months. We’ve changed our name, we’ve improved our vacation rental software by adding tons of new features and we’ve been nominated for lots of awards too (we will tell you more about that later)!

What Did iGMS Learn in 2019? 

This year has demonstrated how prevalent the short-term rental market has become. Vacation rental properties are set to overtake hotels as the place to go. This means more developers are turning properties into short-term units, which has led to a saturated market and the tightening of regulations. 

The face of travel seems to be changing too, with more ‘Millennials’ entering the market. The new generation of travelers expects connectivity and technology as standard. There’s also new-found respect for the environment, which we whole-heartedly applaud. 

With all this in mind, we continue to work hard to embrace innovation, develop our vacation rental software and stay ahead of the competition. 

We are keen to further assist busy property managers in their quest for effective ways to deal with guest management and manage reservations. 

What Did iGMS Achieve in 2019? 

We took all of this on board and designed new features to enhance our vacation rental management software. Our aim was simple – to make the lives of vacation rental owners easier. Here’s what we achieved in 2019:

We Said Goodbye to AirGMS and Hello to iGMS

This year we developed great new features to go with our new philosophy, so we felt a name change would be fitting. We bid farewell to AirGMS and hello to iGMS.  The new name proved easier to pronounce, easier to spell and linked in nicely with our ethos. We believe the world of hosting revolves around offering a remarkable experience for guests – our vacation rental software helps to make that happen. 

We Achieved Lots of Accolades and Awards

We aren’t ones to boast, but we were very proud to receive a number of awards and accolades this year. For a start, we made the top 20 and were featured in the  Capterra Top 20 Hospitality Property Management Software report. We were also listed as one of the top 5 finalists Best Innovation Company – Small Business BC awards and were shortlisted in the VR Tech Start-Up Competition too. As is that wasn’t exciting enough we were also very pleased to be included in the list of Top 100 Short-term & Vacation Rental blogs according to Padlifter. 

Our New Year’s Resolutions

It’s nearly time to ring out the old and bring in the new and to make new resolutions for the exciting year ahead. Ours is quite simple and doesn’t involve skydiving or giving up chocolate (good news for us). 

Here at iGMS, we are going to stick to the resolution that has got us where we are today. We are going to continue to strive to offer the best product possible. 

We want to make life easier for you to manage your short-term rental property with our vacation rental software. This means more integration, better efficiency and the introduction of more practical features to boost productivity.  

Here are some teasers to start with. 

We are planning to offer integration with Booking.com, – the world’s largest platform. In addition, we will upgrade iGMS API to grow our partnerships with other tools to make your hosting life easier. We will also be launching a new website builder, so you can create your own website and secure direct bookings. 

We will also improve the Property maintenance management system by adding new features, including damage reports and property inventory. On top of that, we will develop our advanced iGMS Cleaning management features. We intend to launch a separate mobile app for your cleaning team, featuring a handy chores checklist.
